What is a Database?

A database is a collection of pages with structured properties. Think of it as a spreadsheet where each row is a page you can open and edit. Databases can be viewed as table, board, gallery, or list.

Database Views

Each database can have multiple views showing the same data in different layouts. Changes made in one view are reflected in all others.

• Table View - Classic spreadsheet layout with sortable columns
• Board View - Kanban-style grouped by status or assignee
• Gallery View - Card layout with cover images
• List View - Compact chronological list

Property Types

Text       - Free-form text
Number     - Numeric values with formatting
Select     - Single choice from options
Multi-Select - Multiple choices
Status     - To Do / In Progress / Done
Date       - Date picker with range support
Person     - Team member reference
File       - Upload or link to file
Checkbox   - True / False
